ভারত ও পাকিস্তানের কবরে শুয়ে থেকে সংলাপ চালিয়ে যান মির্জা গালিব ও সাদাত হাসান মান্টো।সিপাহি বিদ্রোহ থেকে দেশভাগ-ভারত ইতিহাসের আড়াইশো বছরের আখ্যান ধরা থাকলো এই উপন্যাসে। ১৮৫৭-র মহা বিদ্রোহ থেকে ১৯৪৭-এর দেশভাগ, দাঙ্গা। এই কালপর্বের ভিতর ভারত ও পাকিস্তানের কবরে শুয়ে থেকে তাদের বৃত্তান্ত বলে যাচ্ছেন মির্জা গালিব ও সাদাত হাসান মান্টো। ইতিহাসের এই দুঃসময়ের মধ্য দিয়ে দুটি উচ্ছিন্ন্য জীবন পরস্পরের আয়না দেখে নিতে চাইছে নিজেদের। তাঁদের ঘিরে অনামা সব মানুষদের আখ্যান।উপন্যাসের এক নতুন সম্ভাবনার দিগন্ত উম্মোচিত করলেন রবিশংকর বল “দোযখনামা”-য়।
‘সংবাদ প্রতিদিন’-এর ‘রোববার’ ক্রোড়পত্রিকায় ২০০৯ সালে এক বছর ধরে প্রকাশিত হয়েছিল এই উপন্যাস । উপন্যাসটি প্রকাশের বিষয়ে সম্পাদক শ্রীঋতুপর্ণ ঘোষ যে-আগ্রহ দেখিয়েছিলেন, সেজন্য তাঁর কাছে আমি কৃতজ্ঞ । প্রকাশনার নানা পর্বে সাহায্য করেছেন ক্রোড়পত্রিকার সহযোগী সম্পাদক শ্রীঅনিন্দ্য চট্টোপাধ্যায় ও তরুণ সহকর্মী শ্রীভাস্কর লেট । ‘সংবাদ প্রতিদিন’-এর সম্পাদক শ্রীসৃঞ্জয় বোস নানা বিষয়ে আমাকে উৎসাহ দিয়ে থাকেন; এই উপন্যাস প্রকাশের ক্ষেত্রেও তাঁর কাছ থেকে উৎসাহ পেয়েছি । বন্ধু শ্রীদেবাশিস বিশ্বাস প্রয়োজনীয় সংশোধনের কাজ করে দিয়েছেন ।এবার শুধু আপনাদের পৃষ্ঠা ওল্টানোর অপেক্ষা । পাঠিকা/পাঠক আমার নমস্কার গ্রহণ করুন ।

Dojokhnama by Rabi Shankar Bal is a popular Bengali Book which is written by Rabi Shankar Bal and another popular Novel of the author. Rabisankar Bal (1962–2017) was a Bengali Indian writer. He lived in Kolkata, and was a journalist by profession. He published more than twenty books in a range of genres including novels, short stories, poetry and essays. He is best known for novels such as Dozakhnama (Conversations in Hell) and Aynajibon (A Mirrored Life), both of which have been translated into English by Arunava Sinha. He is regarded as a major voice in contemporary Bengali literature and won a number of prizes for his work.
