উপন্যাসটা ষাটের দশকের। যদ্দূর জানি সেসময় সাঁওতাল পরগণায় বেশ কয়েকবার ঘুরতে যাওয়ার অভিজ্ঞতা হয়েছে সুনীলের। সে অভিজ্ঞতা থেকেই সম্ভবত বইটা লেখা।
