গল্পের নায়ক বাপী সে কেবল নিজের ভিতরের পশু সত্ত্বাটার সাথে যুদ্ধ করে। তারপরেও এক পেজ দু পেজ করে পড়তে পড়তে কখন, কিভাবে প্রথম খন্ড শেষ করে দ্বিতীয় খন্ডটাও শেষ করে ফেললাম... টেরই পাইনি। শুরুতে একটু বিরক্ত লাগলেও খানিক পরই বুঝা যায় বাপীর এই নিজের সাথে যুদ্ধের কারণ কি। একটু একটু করে ফ্ল্যাশব্যাক টেনে টেনে উপন্যাসের বিস্তৃতি। ছোট্ট একটা জঙ্গল বানারজুলি। সেখানে খুব সামান্য এক কেরানী বাবুর ছেলে বাপী। তার চোখে জঙ্গল, পারিপার্শ্বিক সবকিছু। একটু একটু করে বড় হওয়া, তার লক্ষ্য , সফলতা সব মিলিয়ে আপাদমস্তক জংগলে মোড়ানো সুন্দর একটা বই। (Good Reads Review)
