Author's Biography:
Muhammad Abdul Hai was popular bengali author for his scholary Contributions of Bangla Literature. He was litterateur, editor, phonologist, novelist and professor also. Muhammad Abdul Hai was born in Mushidabad, India in 1919 in the village of Maricha. He spend his childwood and education life in various places, school and colleges. He passed High Madrasha Exam from Rajshahi Madrasha in 1936 and Intermediate Examination form Islamic Intermediate College, Dhaka in 1938. He Passed BA in Bangla (1941) and MA (1952) from University of Dhaka. He also obtain MA Degree from University of Landon in Phonology (1952). Muhammad Abdul Hai started his career as teacher of various government colleges. He joined in Bangla department of Dhaka University in 1949 and became professor in 1962. He was also editor of the half yearly literature magazine named Shahitya Patrika in 1956.Popular Books of Muhammad Abdul Hai are Bhasha O Shaihitya (1960), Bilete Share Satsho Din (1958), Dhoni Biggan o Bangla Dhoni Tottya (1964), Shahittya o Sangaskrity (1954), Toshamod o Rajnitir Bhasha (1960), Bangla Shahityer Eitbittya (Co Edited by Syad Ali Ahsan in 1956) etc. For his literary works and research in Bangla phonetics he got Bangla Academy Literary Awards in 1961. Muhammad Abdul Hai was died in serious rail way line accident on 03 June 1969 and His contributions is ended there.
